DGTG Splurge: Behind the Scenes Peek at Disneyland's Signature Suites

Today, I am giving my readers a sneak peak into the luxury Signature Suites of the Disneyland Hotel, located adjacent to the Disneyland Park in Anaheim, California!  I contacted a member of the Disney Media team to find out more about these amazing accommodations, and she informed me that they are available to the public and start at a whopping $2800. per night, which may vary due to the time of year.

Many of us would pay any price to spend a night in Cinderella Castle, or Disneyland's Dream Suite for that matter, but we all know that these dreams are pretty much unattainable...even for the right price!

Disneyland Hotel is offering the "next best thing" for those who are willing to pay for these absolutely stunning accommodations.  These suites are themed and decked out with loads of Pixie Dust and Nostalgic Disney Magic!  I hope you enjoy Part 1 of this behind the scenes peak at the Signature Suites of the Disneyland Hotel featuring the Fairy Tale Suite, The Pirates of the Caribbean Suite, and the Adventureland Suite.

The Fairy Tale Suite

Guests enter the Fairy Tale Suite delighted by pixie dust and the appearance of Tinker Bell, who illuminates a crystal castle encased in the wall. A marble foyer descends into an enormous bedroom overlooking the entire resort through floor-to-ceiling windows.

The sage and champagne colors used throughout the suite elegantly blend the combination of blonde and glass furniture. The suite’s centerpiece is an exquisite canopy bed overlooking the corner view. The room is finished with crown moulding, automatic drapes and a custom-designed dresser, from which a flat-panel television ascends at the touch of a button.

The focal point in the suite’s bathroom is a beautiful hand-cut mosaic of a stylized Sleeping Beauty Castle. The mirror disguises a TV and the double vanity countertop twinkles with shooting stars. Domes and Corinthian columns mix thematically with an abundance of modern amenities, including a steam shower and Jacuzzi tub with chromo-therapy.

The Adventureland Suite

This suite takes guests on the most luxurious safari ever. With the feel of an explorers’ camp from the 1930s, the Adventureland Suite features a master bedroom fashioned as a safari lodge with a claw-foot bathtub in the living area. In the master bathroom lies a grotto with a foot spa, steam and rain showers, and lighting and sound effects that make you feel like you’re in a rain forest or a savanna. Younger explorers will love the second bedroom, which makes you feel like you’re sleeping in a safari tent.

The Asian/Indian-inspired main living area includes a wet bar, a flat-screen TV hidden behind artwork above the faux fireplace, and a “hidden” closet (hint: try the bookcase). When you’re in this suite, it even sounds like you’re in the jungle: the doorbell “rings” with tiki gods playing drums, and – for the first time in a Disneyland Hotel suite – themed background music plays three separate tracks inspired by the Jungle Cruise, Disney adventure-themed movies and world music first created for Disney’s Animal Kingdom.

The Pirates of the Caribbean Suite

The specially redesigned suite is intended to fully immerse guests, providing family lodging that combines modern conveniences with décor, furnishings and ambience that evoke the fun, whimsy and adventure of the films and attraction.

The Pirates experience begins as you ring the doorbell, which plays, “Yo Ho, Yo Ho, A Pirate’s Life For Me,” and enter the living room. There you will find Old World rugs covering dark-stained hardwood floors, with wooden beams overhead. The Spanish colonial-style furnishings could be part of a pirate’s plunder, yet the room also provides landlubbers’ comforts including a wet bar, 42-inch plasma TV and surround sound stereo system.

Down the hall, the Master Bedroom (or Captain’s Quarters) features a vintage canopied four-poster bed with cast iron lighting fixtures and (in addition to a 37-inch LCD TV), decorative artwork inspired by elements of the Pirates of the Caribbean films and attractions. The Master bath compliments the pirate furnishing with some more modern amenities such as a Jacuzzi tub and steam shower.

Younger guests will find their own pirate stronghold in the second bedroom, which features a more playfully rustic theme with nautical-inspired furniture.

Among the treasures to be discovered in the suite, including some in locked display cases, are a replica of Captain Jack Sparrow’s revolver, rare pirate figurines (discontinued) from the popular Walt Disney Classics Collection, a lithograph signed by Disney Legend “X” Atencio (Lyricist for the song for “Yo Ho, Yo Ho, A Pirate’s Life For Me”) and a replica of the mysterious Davy Jones’ “Dead Man’s Chest.”

The suite also boasts spectacular views of the Never Land Pool area below, Santa Catalina Island, the nearby San Bernadino Mountains and fireworks over Disneyland park.

I hope you have enjoyed this behind-the-scenes peek at 3 of the 5 Disneyland Hotel Signature Suites.  I will be back soon with the other 2 which happen to be my favorites!  For more information on booking a Signature Suite (and you must take me with you) call (714)956-6425.  For more information on the Disneyland Resort, please visit http://www.disneyland.com/

I love the Fairytale Suite, but the Adventureland Suite would be so much fun. Totally reminds me of going on an adventure.

I agree with Lee- the Fairytale Suite would be my first choice! Even with the sizeable price tag, I bet these are scooped up. Can't wait to see the other two...
